Connect Suicide Prevention Project
Project Goal #1
Facilitate accomplishment of the goals of the State Suicide Prevention Plan by establishing a statewide environment that support and enhances efforts to address the needs of youth at risk for suicide.
NH's State Suicide Prevention Plan was adopted by the state in November of 2004. It details strategy for suicide prevention for all age groups. The Connect Project focuses on youth up to age 24. Many state agencies and private agencies work closely with youth, and Connect has identified these agencies as key stakeholders to adopt policies and procedures that promote suicide prevention and to train staff in Connect Protocols.

Goal #1 Activities:
- Involve stakeholders in YSPA and project Advisory Board
- Negotiate Memos of Understanding with state agencies
- Train Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team members in postvention practices
- Work with survivors to promote healing and prevention
