NAMIWalks NH 2009 ~ Sunday, October 4, 2009
NAMIWalks NH 2009 had a great turnout with nearly 600 Walkers participating. Even with that excellent turnout, we are still reaching for to meet our Fundraising Goal of $110,000! It's not too late to donate. Our online credit card donation system will be available through December 4, 2009, simply click the NAMIWalks logo below to donate today! BJ the DJ - of Nazzy's Entertainment DJs - got the crowd going before the Walk with rocking music and a fantastic "Team T-shirt Fashion Show! Following a brief opening ceremonies program, the Walk commenced with ribbon cutting by Nick Toumpas, NH Health & Human Services Commissioner and Miss New Hampshire 2009, Lindsey Graham! Walkers had comfortable temperatures and slightly overcast skies for the 3.1 Walk route through downtown Concord.
Immediately following the Walk, Walkers enjoyed free hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream thanks to generous sponsors like Texas Roadhouse, Country Spirit Restaurant, Sysco and Trail Mix ice cream shop. Nazzy - of Nazzy's Entertainment DJs - provided afternoon entertainment with great music and games for the crowd, including a couple of hula hoop contests, and raffle prize drawings valued up to $114. Thank you Nazzy and BJ the DJ for donating your talent and services to make NAMIWalks NH such a great day for our Walkers!
