Frameworks: NH DOE RFA for Suicide Prevention and OTC Drug Abuse Prevention
Recognize, Connect! Frameworks Suicide Prevention Project
The NH Department of Education has announced an RFA which is to provide funds to be used for suicide prevention or substance abuse prevention specific to over the counter (OTC) medications.
The RFA indicates funds must be spent on programs and services which have an evidence base. We have developed the attached sheet with some information/options on suicide prevention programs which school personnel can consider if requesting these funds.
You may contact NAMI NH directly about Frameworks Suicide Prevention Program training. Frameworks is designated as a national Best Practice Program (FW School Training Options). Please be aware that due to the time constraints of this RFA, NAMI NH’s ability to provide Frameworks Training will be quite limited and we will partner with schools on a first come first served basis.
Other evidence supported and/or NH based programs are listed in an, “EBP Resource List.” For further information about those programs, please pursue the contact information listed accordingly.
To encourage schools to apply for this RFA and promote suicide prevention in schools, NAMI NH staff is willing to provide some limited technical assistance to schools responding to this RFA regardless of whether the school is interested in Frameworks training or other options. Contact Elaine de Mello at edemello@naminh.org or 603-2255359 Ext. 15. Please pass this information along to any school personnel who may be interested and let us know if we can provide further assistance.
