What’s “new at NAMI NH” Newsletter
November 2006

News to distribute and share with your groups and classes

This newsletter is currently sent to leaders, teachers, NAMI NH staff and board members, so please make copies, or forward emails to add members to the distribution list.

Upcoming Events-

Work on the NAMI NH strategic plan continues. Three teams have been formed to work on 3 specific areas. Affiliate leader and teacher input is vital to this process. If it is of interest to you to join one of these planning teams, or you just have questions about the process, please let us know. Teams are looking at ways to strengthen the relationship between affiliates and board and state office, increase NAMI NH visability, strengthen programs, improve financial sustainability and be proactive in influencing public policy.

Attached is an article from the Keene Sentinel that Becca Lawrence forwarded to us, it is well worth the read, it would be great to get press like this in all our NH papers!

NAMI Affiliate Web Pages

Groups have requested ideas for how to represent themselves on the web without having to create an entire website. The NAMI NH website can have affiliate pages added so that each group can have its own page and can list upcoming events, such as educational meetings, F2F or VFT classes, community events of interest, health fairs, important legislation or their annual holiday party! At the top of each affiliate page we will list the group information just as it is now listed on the support group pages.

We are working to get this up and going in the next several weeks.  Please forward any group information to be posted on your page, directly to Monica in our NAMI NH office. Monica can be reached by email at mdenham@naminh.org, please copy the email to myself as well.

When communicating with Monica, please be clear which group you represent and if it is the adult or parent group.
