Mental Health in the Workplace
Mental Health Insights
General educational training programs about mental illness to target audiences including students, teachers, health and social service providers, law enforcement and legal professionals, business representatives, legislators, emergency medical staff, and clergy, as well as the general public. Programs can range from one hour to full day training programs that offer information about mental illness and the impact of stigma, treatment options, and an overview of resources and strategies for working with people who have mental health disorders.
Mental Health Insights on Youth
An educational program for providers of Children with Serious Emotional Disorders is a team approach of teaching and is an 8 hour course offered to educators and other providers of service to children with serious emotional disorders. The curriculum provides participants with an understanding of serious emotional disorders, tips for the classroom management of student's with the diagnosis and a family perspective of the impact of the child's illness on the family and community.
Breaking the Silence
A teaching package designed to provide health educators and other interested teachers with the material necessary to teach the facts about mental illness and replace stigma with compassion and action to students in their schools. This program meets the National Health Education Standards. The teaching package includes an elementary, middle school and high school curriculum. This program has been provided successfully in other parts of the country.
