May 2024’s Volunteers of the Month are the mother-daughter team of Debbie Peters and Kerry Arseneaux!
Debbie and Kerry are an amazing mother-daughter team. Their passion for helping suicide loss survivors heal and thrive is beautiful. Debbie initially leaned into SOSL (Survivors of Suicide Loss) volunteer work taking an SOSL group facilitator training, then inviting her daughter Kerry to do the same. Together they started the SOSL Support Group in Merrimack. Around this same time the Nashua SOSL group was coming to a close – Debbie and Kerry stepped up and made it possible for the group to continue. They currently co-facilitate both groups each month. Debbie is also a trained SurvivorVoices speaker and Kerry will be soon! And last but not least, at Debbie’s and Kerry’s first NAMIWalksNH in 2023, they were Team SOS volunteers extraordinaire! They arrived early, stayed late, and were just an amazing, loving, supportive duo, talking to folks, handing out beads, and raising funds. They put their hearts into everything they do.
